WHICH WOOD WE USE
We only use regional poplar wood for our wafer-thin turned lampshades. It comes from sustainable forestry in the Mecklenburg Lake District region and is mostly wood that has already had to be felled.
FROM THE TRUNK TO THE FINISHED LAMP
The wood for a turned lamp is freshly processed. This means that it is turned while still wet. The lampshades are then finely sanded twice and sealed with hard wax oil. This makes the surface smooth, insensitive to dust and easy to clean. This also eliminates the need for special care of the object.
The light shines beautifully through the thin walls (approx. 1 mm) and gives the room a pleasant atmosphere.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Due to the heat generated by conventional incandescent or halogen bulbs, our lampshades are only suitable for use with LED bulbs.
Please only use light sources from reputable manufacturers for optimum lighting results (e.g. LED bulb from Phillips with 8W-13W, 2700K).
Special care of the wood is not necessary.
NAMES OF THE LAMPS
The names of our lamps are derived from their shape, type of wood and size. This makes it easy for us to recognize which lampshade it is.
Example:
KEP 17/21 = cone lamp made of poplar wood ⌀17 height 21cm
The cable color and length can be changed on request, which will result in a slightly longer waiting time.
